Migraine and Pain Insensitivity: Genetics Causes
This project has main purpose to understand the root genetic causes for pain by examining a couple of large families suffering from migraine and pain insensitivity. Pain is a major public health condition around the globe. Enhanced knowledge of the several forms of pain and detection of susceptibility genes can benefit treatments. Migraine is among the most widespread neurovascular disorders, hurting a big part of men and women. Some topics studied in this report are: Genetic epidemiology, Types of migraine, Migraine without aura (MO), Migraine with aura (MA), Familial hemiplegic migraine (FHM), Heritability of migraine, etc.
