Selection of expatriates – The influence of HR managers’ gender and personal traits

Because of improved internationalisation across the globe the expatriate rate is continuing to grow tremendously over the past years and has become a vital tool inside companies. Thus, the requirement for expatriates increases plus its of significance for firms to expand their expatriate base and not leave out specific categories of workers, for example women are today. The objective of this project report was to investigate the function that gender and personal traits of the Human resources managers perform in analyzing and choosing expatriates. In addition, we wished to examine this relationship with a developed model. The outcome of this study signifies that in order to implement, investigate and analyze research constituted in a foreign country than Sweden, the idea must be tailored to match the Swedish demographical and humanitarian structure concerning this field…
