Today almost every manufacturing company has some way of logging data from their product line. Since the content of data often grows rapidly it quickly becomes incomprehensive, and therefore a tool is needed for easy viewing and access of the data.
Our job was to construct such a tool the first thing we did was to format the data on a hierarchical structure. Once we structured the data the desired analysis could be made. All algorithms and analysis were done in MATLAB.
This thesis will explain and exemplify the algorithms and ideas behind a toolbox for basic statistical analysis and viewing of a database.
