In this project report, we talk in regards to the practical execution of a distributed engine management system on the formula SAE race car developed at Lule°a University of Technology. The majority of the concept of the engine as well as the electronics are beyond the scope of this research work. As an alternative I am going to describe the majority of the functions and features which have been implemented, and provide a brief description of what their features are. Towards the end I am going to also show the way the system is incorporated on the car. The benefits to create this type of system from scratch is to have total command over the engine. And also to be able to integrate the Engine Management System in a smart way with the rest of the electronic that is on the car.
