The research is based on Japanese Sinology of “Water Margin”, in which the thesis mainly focuses on three Japanese Sinologists, Ogawa Tamaki, Miyazaki Ichisada and Chubachi Masakazu. This research thus contains three parts that in each the viewpoints of them are discussed respectively. Ogawa Tamaki suggested that the novel was written mainly by two authors – Luo Guan Zhong and an anonymous person in the middle age of Ming Dynasty.
